Micro-farm
Last year, we received a donation from Cultivating Action for an in-classroom aquaponics system. Our micro-farm has grown basil and cilantro and is teaching us about an important cycle between the fish in the tank below and the plants in the bed above. Stay tuned for more information!
Worm Bins
We have two vermiculture bins in our classroom that compost all of our snack (and some kitchen) waste. Pictures and more info on their way!
Stargazer Garden
2017-2018: TBA
2016-2017: We planted hills of sweet potatoes (and the weeds ran amok over the summer).
2015-2016: Students researched and picked out a variety of bed-loving veggies, including chives, arugula, onion, and potato.
